WHAT CAN YOU DO? 

 

There are lots of ways to get involved. Just decide what suits you best.

 

Here are some options.

 

FINANCIAL SUPPORT

 

Obviously there's a need for financial support. The home has currently a monthly budget of roughly 400 Euros to support the lifes of all children. Often there are shortfalls in food. Filling lunchboxes every day is a real challenge. There are expenses for clothing, school transport and material, medication, electricity, toiletry, house maintenace and emergencies. There is a long term vision to safe up to move the home and buy a plot to build a new home. But then there's nothing to save from. 

 

You could do once off or montly donations. If you wish it could be for a specific child and it's needs or a budget line (veggies, school transport, etc.) 

 

Every donation reaches the home 1:1. We have two accounts, one in Germany, one in South Africa.  

 

We are in the process of registering as a Non Profit Organization NPO In South Africa. We are registered as a non profit organization in Germany. 

 

SUPPORT WITH GOODS

 

If you are in the area, any cloths, toys, bedding, blankets etc will help, but we will update on specific needs in the blog and on the facebook page. 

 

Esther and the Cologne crew have been sending parcels with AMAZING clothing and toys, that were much appreciated. We obviously had to consider that the cost for the post is realitively high. It had to be stuff that's worth sending, but at the same time not make too much of an impression with customs.

It's really been the word of mouth, the personal engagement and the lucky coincidence that has kep this project alive. 

 

THINK AHEAD 

 

Think of new ways of supporting that no one else has been thinking about. 

 

Everyone involved here has been doing it in addition to other commitments, except for the angels Thembi, Khanya, Zozo and Patricia who are full time on this. 

 

Any innovative idea is welcome! 

 

There is also a project that does vegetables in a community garden, where a supporter could purchase a weekly veggie box from and support two projects at the same time.
